New Orleans newcomers started this blog, New in NOLA, as a way to help other newbies navigate the city.

We have meetups about once a month. This was a meetup held over the summer in the neutral ground on Napoleon. (photo by Carlie Kollath Wells/New in NOLA)
We wanted a way to remember all the advice, recommendations and info we heard along the way – good service companies, good doctors, liquor store hours, neighborhood restaurants, farmers markets, festivals, etc.
We’re young professionals living in New Orleans and we’re inspired by the people, history, culture, architecture and food in this city. We’re honored to live here and we learn every day from the long-time residents of New Orleans.
New in NOLA is a hobby for us. We don’t sell ads and we don’t make money from the site, our Instagram account or our Twitter account. We pay for all of the meals we post. If we get a discounted media rate, we’ll tell you in the post. If we post about an event, restaurant or venue, it’s because we are interested in it and thought it would be worth sharing.
