This year, the conference organizers tell us, they are focusing on the intersection of tech and creative fields such as music, film, television, design, painting, etc.

It’s Tech Week in New Orleans. The party kicked off tonight and goes on all week.
Good news – the events are free and are open to the public. Sessions include crowd-funding, wearable tech, marketing and software development. They are geared toward people involved in the tech industry and people interested in getting involved in the tech industry.
